Patrícia Godinho joined the University of Minho in 1995, where she earned a degree in Optometry and Vision Sciences, and began her professional journey at Multiopticas, where she held various positions across different stores.
In 2008, she decided to venture out on her own by opening her own optical store, while maintaining ties with the Multiopticas family, opening a franchise in Lourinhã and later a second store in Bombarral.
1. What advantages do you highlight, and what are the main benefits you experience as a professional using the Multi-Diagnostic VX120DE platform?
The reason I chose this type of multi-diagnostic platform is its versatility, ease of use, and intuitive interface. I can obtain a lot of information in a short amount of time, which is very precise and reliable
2. For your clients, what are the main advantages of using the VX120DE?
My patients can have a clear understanding of what has been observed. We connect the VX120DE to a television, allowing me to explain in more detail what was observed through the captured images.
I can issue more detailed ophthalmological follow-up reports, including images of the observations, which patients can take with them for further analysis.
By performing these exams, we can rule out certain situations that would otherwise be more ambiguous, providing clarity for the patients.
3. The tests available on the VX120DE are very diverse, including aberrometry, topography, pachymetry-compensated tonometry, and dry eye analysis and monitoring. How do you apply the protocols?
As a rule, we perform all available tests, unless the patient is unable to cooperate for some reason. Regarding the DryEye module, we perform it on all patients who come for contact lens trials and on those who present dry eye symptoms during an optometry consultation.
